About Me

I'm Cully Cerv. I'm currently a student at Wayne State College majoring in Art Education. I live in Bancroft, NE with Seth and our daughter, Quinn, who turned one in May. The Fifth Lens started on June 23, 2018, when I videoed my first wedding. It grew from there. Since then, I have captured special moments of babies, couples, seniors, weddings, and families. I am still trying to build my portfolio up, so any idea for a shoot is always considered. I have 6 years of experience in making videos, 2 years experience wedding videography, and what feels like a lifetime of being a photographer.

I have always had an interest in photography and videography. I love that the very special moments we all experience can be captured so clearly through pictures and videos. Many have asked where the name "The Fifth Lens" comes from and what it means. I wanted my business name to be personal but wanted something other than just my name. I have worn glasses pretty much my whole life. I love my glasses, all 12 pairs. Anyway, in order to capture moments, the first 2 lenses, my eyes, see what I'm about to capture. The next 2 lenses, my glasses, perfect what I'm seeing. The final lens, the camera, captures what my eyes just saw, forever. The fifth lens.
